Relax People Recover Faster

Certainly no one would ever dream of being ill. When we got sick, especially serious illnesses, we often time become frightened and panic; scared that we can not afford therapy to heal. Panic because such treatment is costly, and you have to leave your routine activities.
In fact, when you become more relaxed, you find that you could recover faster! Thus the results of the research team from the Institute of Psychiatry at King’s College London.
This conclusion is obtained when the researchers measured the stress hormone cortisol-to-25 volunteers. They were also given a questionnaire to find out how they cope with the tension in everyday life. Volunteers then “wounded” by a particular method, to see the healing process. This process is observable through the ultrasound.
From these tests, researchers found that volunteers who will be cured of stress at least two times faster than those with the most stress.
“There is great variation in the speed of recovery,” said Professor Weinman, from the Institute of Psychiatry at King’s College London. “This study is focused particularly on how the pressures of life experienced by people can affect their ability to recover from the types of injuries are different.”
Researchers then conducted a separate experiment, in which one group of volunteers were asked to write what became their fears in a diary, while the other group is only required to record about time management.
From the experiment, it was shown those who write down their fears proved to be more relaxed and recovered more quickly. This shows the physical benefits of mental unburdening from ourselves.
Weinman continued, would be better if these findings can be used to identify psychological intervention to help speed up the healing process and recovery of patients. When a patient is feeling stressed by the circumstances, there should be a companion who can motivate and provide encouragement.
